The story so far…

For over twenty-five years, Michael Harpham has been passionate about finding, unlocking and developing the potential in the staff with whom he has worked, enabling them to realise their teaching and leadership potential.

He has successfully worked in schools in inner and outer London and the Home Counties at every level of school leadership, including two deputy headships and a headship.

He has spent his career dedicated to improving schools and school leadership. He has done this through years of coaching, encapsulated in his book "Progress Plain and Simple" for teachers, parents and school leaders. His leadership development has created relevant, user-friendly resources, providing bespoke, effective training and delivering proven, successful development programmes which guarantee positive change and delivers stronger leaders, making stronger schools.

As Michael began his post-graduate research to underpin his training and development work, he began to deliver Continuing Professional Development to other schools and universities with fantastic feedback. His work has been presented at a number of research conferences around the country, published by a number of government agencies, universities and Ofsted. It’s proven track record of success led to active interest from the Department for Education and the Secondary Schools and Academies Trust to deliver it more widely.

With over twenty-five years’ experience of supporting and strengthening leadership in schools, providing exactly the training and support that each school needs, he has extensive experience and proven expertise to secure the outstanding teaching and leadership a school needs and that the students deserve.
